Power line crossing dual carriageway between Horsham and Crawley to be removed

The A264 between the Moorhead Roundabout and the junction with Faygate Lane/Tower Road will be closed in both directions at 4.30am, for up to an hour.

UK Power Networks said the road will be closed for safety reasons while an electricity line which crosses the dual carriageway at Faygate is removed.

The company also said they are investigating reports about inaccurate warning signage and will be installing new signs.

A spokesperson for UK Power Networks said: “We have worked closely with the county council to plan this work in a way that keeps any traffic impact to a minimum and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

Traffic diversions will be in place.
