Power tools stolen in spate of Crawley vehicle break-ins

Power tools were stolen after several vehicles were broken into in a single night.

Police were called to five incidents in the town overnight on Tuesday (March 29).

Crawley Police said tools were stolen from six vehicles at the Premier Inn in Crawley Avenue.

A grinder, chisels and screwdrivers were stolen from a vehicle in Woodfield Road, Northgate.

Electrician’s tools were taken from another in Eden Road, Gossops Green.

There was an attempted break-in to a vehicle in Gossops Drive, Gossops Green, and two drills were stolen from another in Patrington Close, Bewbush.

PC Guy Williamson said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw something suspicious in the area last Wednesday night.

“Witnesses can email [email protected] or call 101.”

Police were called to two further vehicle break-ins on Thursday.

A Dell laptop was stolen overnight in Punch Copse Road, Three Bridges.

Two Bosch impact drills and a sat-nav were found missing from a vehicle in North Road, Three Bridges, at 3.40pm.
