Pub takes part in world's biggest coffee morning

VILLAGERS took part in the world's biggest coffee morning at The Brewers Arms in Herstmonceux on Friday.

At least 200 was raised and more than 40 people came along to have a coffee and a chat.

Julie Hanks, landlord, said: 'We were very pleased.

'Last year my dad died from cancer and we thought everybody seems to know some one who has got it.

'So it seemed a worthwhile thing to support.'

Tea and coffee was served along with cakes and a raffle was held.

The pub holds a number of charity events throughout the year.

The world's biggest coffee morning aims to raise funds to support cancer sufferers and their family and friends.
