Readers’ discount on charity cream teas
Cream tea lovers will have a fresh chance to indulge this summer when West Sussex children’s charity Action Medical Research runs its hugely popular cream teas in a box scheme for a second time.
After the sweet success of its first delivery in June, which saw hundreds of cream teas delivered to homes, schools and workplaces across the county, the charity is running a second delivery in August.
They are calling on residents and businesses to take a break and enjoy a cuppa as part of its unique fundraising campaign.
Its delicious British cream teas in a box – which contain scones, Tiptree strawberry jam, Rodda’s Cornish clotted cream and three strawberry crème chocolates, as well as the more traditional Yorkshire Tea, knife and serviette – will be delivered on Friday August 7.
So now’s the time to sign up for the perfect afternoon pick-me-up, which comes in a box priced just £6 get them before they’re scone!
“The reaction to our initial cream teas in a box campaign on June 18 was so overwhelming that we’ve decided to bring the deliveries back by popular demand,” said Tracey Edwards, Action Cream Tea Events Manager.
“All you have to do is order by Thursday July 30, and your cream tea will be delivered to your door on Friday August 7.
“The minimum order is for 10 boxes, so why not get together with friends or colleagues to share a delicious treat for a great cause?”
Research is the key to saving many children from a lifetime of suffering, yet surprisingly, medical research into conditions that devastate children’s lives is poorly funded.
The charity is currently funding research around stillbirth, epilepsy, meningitis, cerebral palsy and brain cancer.
Action Medical Research is offering our readers an exclusive 10 per cent discount on its cream teas. Simply enter the code CREAMTEAS10 when placing your order at action.org.uk/cream-teas
