Reading record

Pupils and staff at Laburnum Grove Junior School in Bognor Regis joined together to attempt a new world record.

The 193 children and their teachers spent a sponsored half hour reading Peter Pan in Scarlet by Geraldine McCaughrean in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

They all dressed in red for the occasion, the Big Time Rhyme, which was intended to create a new record for the most people reading together at one time.

One of the school's pupils has received treatment at the London hospital. Head Pip Otton considered it a good cause to back.
