Crawley Town have confirmed that captain Joe Walsh has joined MK Dons today.
Reds boss Dean Saunders revealed the move in his post-match press conference after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Sheffield United.
With the transfer window closed, the 22-year-old centre-back, who is out of contract in the summer, has joined up with Karl Robinson’s side initially on loan with view to a permanent deal in the summer.
A club statement read: “The club can confirm that defender Joe Walsh has today joined MK Dons on an emergency loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent deal being agreed in the summer.
“The 22-year-old joined Reds in August 2012 and has so far made 110 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals. Joe is out of contract in the summer.
“During his time at the club to date he has played for Wales under-21s and was called into the Welsh senior squad for the first time last October for two Euro 2016 qualifiers.”
