Defender Lanre Oyebanjo could face another six weeks on the injury list after having a second operation on his troublesome knee this week.
The Crawley Town full-back underwent an initial op back in July to repair cartilage damage, but it failed to heal properly and he went under the knife again for a ‘clean op’ on Monday.
The set-back will increase the 25-year-old former York City defender’s spell on the sidelines, having not made an appearance yet this season.
Joe McNerney, who also has a knee problem, also faces at least another month out.
Reds boss Mark Yates said: “Joe, we won’t see him until Christmas and Banj has had a reaction to his knee.
“He went under the knife on Monday and he is probably four to six weeks away.
“It’s just a clean up where it didn’t heal properly so he has had another op, unfortunately. It what it is about and hopefully be back fit as quickly as possible.”
Yates also confirmed that Gavin Tomlin is fully fit but has just not been involved in recent squads since his return from injury sustained in the summer.
