Restored paintingsreturned to church

Paintings at the church of St Mary The Virgin in Aldingbourne, have been restored and can now be seen in a condition closely resembling their former glory.

This was made possible thanks to a generous grant from SITA Trust as well as contributions made by the parish council and individuals. The SITA Trust makes awards through the Landfill Communities Fund to provide funding to communities around landfill sites.

Two paintings are of the royal arms and one of the hatchment.

They have been returned to the church for all to see.

The church is open between 10am and 4pm for visitors.
