Southgate Community Forum chairman Mike Pickett said tickets were being issued because of a lack of parking spaces in town.

He said complaints over residents’ driveways being blocked by cars when Goffs Park’s car park was full had become ‘particularly vociferous’.

He urged people to sign his e-petition calling on West Sussex County Council to conduct a review of the town’s parking needs: http://epetition.westsussex.public-i.tv/epetition_core/community/petition/3489/1
