Robertsbridge students cut a dash at school prom

A FLEET of luxury and sporting cars together with a horse drawn carriage delivered students from Robertsbridge Community College, bedecked in their finest, to the Montgomery Suite at Bannatynes Hotel to celebrate their leavers’ prom. With the final GCSE exam being completed just the day before, it was the perfect time to let their hair down.

Having posed for photos on arrival, both individually and in groups with friends and staff, it was soon time to settle down to a three course supper.

With a few speeches to break up the proceedings it was then dancing until carriages at midnight.

The evening was organised by head girl Lucy Pearce assisted by other prefects, assistant headteacher Mrs Robertson, bursar Mrs Owen and the events management team at Bannatynes.

A spokesperson for Robertsbridge Community College said: “Despite the late night it was a credit to their youthful enthusiasm how many made it in to college the following morning for signing-off.

“A wonderful night enjoyed by all, to conclude their education at Robertsbridge and see them off into the wider world.”
