Round Table thanks the ladies

ALMOST 100 people dressed in their finest to attend the Seaford and Newhaven Round Table ladies' night.

The event, held at Dean's Place Country Hotel, Alfriston, is organised as a thank you to the wives and partners of the members. It is partly a social night and partly to raise money for charity.

A raffle organised by the sister group to the Round Table, the Ladies Circle, raised more than 400.

Pete Wingett, of the Round Table, said it was a fantastic evening. 'Our social secretary who is known as "Skelly" did a fantastic job with the tables '“ every lady had a small bouquet. There was an X Factor-style competition and my group had to sing a Monkee's song.'
