Royal British Legion Women's Section Little Common

At the March meeting our speaker was Ted Kemp Rother Neighbourhood Watch chairman, aided by Roy Collins Little Common PCSO, the subject was scams, we were shown some film called Think Jessica, showing several people who had been scammed either by mail or on the phone, one person received 1500 letters in three month, another 100 to 150 a week, the amounts of money scammed was frightening, over £1000,000 in one case and over £300.000 in another, I think we all learned something from the evening , hopefully so it won't happen to us, but we should all keep an eye on elderly neighbours and family too, so they don't caught by the scammers, if anyone is scammed they should call 101 ASAP, anyone able to hear this talk and see the film should do so, it could save you thousands!
