Sainsbury's staff three-legged race

It was cold, it was wet - but nothing could stop Sainsbury's staff enjoying their three-legged race through the drizzle on Sunday.

The mile-long event started from the Colonnade with 22 taking part to raise money for Sport Relief.

Press officer Suzanna Upton said: "Colleagues have been raising sponsorship support from customers, colleagues, friends and family, and kitted themselves out in the red and white Sport Relief Socks to raise even more cash for Sport Relief.

"Around 40 was raised on the day, however all other sponsorship money is being collected.

"The general response was that all really enjoyed taking part in raising money for this charity - even though the weather was cold, wet and miserable great fun was had by all!"

Bexhill staff taking part in the event on Sunday were: Shaun Sillince, Michael England, Helen Madams, Lee Panther, Daniel Cruttenden, Emily Fuller, Lucy Sangster, Tracey Tuck, Jayne Hicks, Heather Tomlin, Lesley Cahill, Chris Holter, Matt Evans, Kevin Davies (Duty Manager), Richard Hay (Store Manager), Suzanna Upton, Maureen Bolton, Tracey Trivett, Rachel Brookes, Louise Donaldson, Megan Noon, Grace Mercer, Adam Hicks and Ryan Hopkins.
