ROTARY CLUB: Sandhurst man John Cunningham is the new president of the Cranbrook and Hakhurst Rotary Club. For some time John was the Borough councillor for Sandhurst.

CHURCH SERVICE: The special offering at the Baptist Church on August 7 will go to the Christian Institute. The services on August 7 are morning worship and communion at 10.30am and an evening meeting at 7pm.

YOUTH CAMP: From August 8 to 12 Youth Camp takes place at The Oasts, Northiam.

The Purpose Plate Luncheon takes place on August 9 from 12 noon to 2pm. For more information on church events call 0158 850715.

BOOK GROUP: The Book Group meet on August 16 and the book will be 1599 A Year in the Life of William Shakespeare by James Shapiro. The meeting starts at 7.30pm. For the place to meet, phone Gill on 1580 850965.
