FRIENDS OF SEDLESCOMBE CHURCH HERITAGE TRUST: Friends of Sedlescombe Church Heritage Trust will hold their AGM on Monday November 10 at Asselton House, the Green, Sedlescombe at 7pm. All members have been notified and invited in their autumn newsletter, please try and make it a date to come along for this necessary formal event of the year which will be followed by refreshments and an opportunity to meet your fellow members.

IN NEED OF FUNDS?: It is some time since Hooe’s Old Motor Club show was held in August. The time has now come to distribute surplus funds raised on that day. Clubs and organisations in the area are invited to submit requests for money. Please write to Chris Hone, c/o Hooe’s Old Motor Club, Marwin Farm, Marley Lane, Battle, East Sussex, TN33 0RE, before thet December 1 2014 enclosing a brief note as to why your organisation should be considered. Requests will be discussed at the next committee meeting in January, 2015.

ENJOYED THE QUIZ NIGHT?: The Lions Club of Battle and Villages invite you to their Annual Children in Need Quiz Night on Friday November 14 at Ninfield Village Hall.six people teams with a 7.30 for 8pm start. There will be a raffle on the night and a cash prize for the winning team. Tickets are priced at £6.50 per person to include a Ploughman’s supper, please take your own drinks and glasses.
