The project is held every Monday from 10am to 1pm (term time) in Broadfield Community Centre where volunteers from Christ the Lord church provide freshly prepared, low cost food with a warm welcome.

They are supported by the Crawley Wellbeing team who visit every three to five months and offer free Wellbeing Checks for attendees.

Cabinet Member for Community Engagement, Michael Jones said: “I visited a Monday Munch session this week to personally see the great work being done in the community. It was brilliant to see the volunteers cooking up such incredibly delicious and wholesome meals.

“I think it is wonderful that residents have a place they can come to and enjoy some good company for a few hours. I had tremendous fun on my visit.”

Rev Howard Schnaar who organises the sessions said “The sessions are open to everyone and all will find a warm welcome, good food and a listening ear.”
