Crawley welcomed a special festive guest as the town celebrated its annual Christmas light switch-on this weekend.
Father Christmas arrived at County Mall shopping centre on Saturday (November 21) accompanied by a few little helpers to open the centre’s official Christmas Grotto.
Dozens of festive characters including elves, Christmas fairies and even reindeer turned up to help Mr Claus spread some Christmas cheer to hundreds of people shopping in the centre.
The opening of the Grotto was followed by a lantern parade, complete with marching band, which wandered through the town centre before the lights on the town’s new 40ft Christmas tree, in Queens square, were switched on for the festive period.
