Spate of burglaries reported

BURGLARS snatched goods from homes in Rustington and Angmering overnight last Tuesday and left empty-handed from two other properties.

A property in Byron Road Rustington was burgled and various items were stolen on the evening of Tuesday, October 14.

These included binoculars, a Samsung laptop, a kindle, cash cards, a gold ring with diamonds in a flower shape, a brown wallet with a Brighton and Hove Albion emblem, cash and a Galaxy Ace mobile.

Jewellery was also stolen in a burglary at Cowdray Drive, Rustington.

Police believe this burglary also took place overnight on October 14 when there were two more attempted burglaries in the area.

The occupants were away for the week at the time.

DC Jonathan Stadius said: “We have conducted house to house enquiries and are seeking anyone who has any information that may help us with our enquiries.

“There were two attempted burglaries overnight on October 14 which we believe may be linked to this burglary. They were in Dell Drive, Angmering and a neighbouring house in Cowdray Drive.

“Anyone who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area or has information should contact police on [email protected] or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
