St Catherine’s Hospice had submitted plans to open a furniture shop in a Crawley business park.
Crawley Borough Council registered its bid to convert units 17 and 18 in Denvale Trade Park, Haslett Avenue East, Three Bridges, on Tuesday (August 18).
The charity proposed to change the use of the two-storey building from B8 (storage) to mixed A1 (shops) and B8.
Planning documents have shown the ground floor will be converted from a 3,124 sq ft warehouse into a 2,202 sq ft furniture display, sales and storage space with a separate 922 sq ft area for delivery and preparation.
The council’s website stated officers were expected to come to a decision over the full planning application (CR/2015/0544/FUL) on October 13.
