Storm Doris forces town centre shop to close
Heavy winds blew the tiles off a town centre shop forcing it to close this afternoon.
The entrance to the Cancer Research store in Burgess Hill was tapped off as Storm Doris struck the roof of the building.
Tiles have smashed on the floor outside the shop and customers have been warned to beware of more falling slates.
A notice on the shop’s door read: “Shop closed for H+S reasons. Beware of falling slates.”
