Summer Art Exhibition in Battle Memorial Halls

BATTLE and District Arts Group will soon be holding its annual summer art exhibition at the Memorial Halls on Battle High Street.

Following a private view on Tuesday evening, doors open to the public on Wednesday July 25 at 10am and the exhibition continues daily until 5pm on August 4.

The art group has a membership of nearing 300 artists working in a wide variety of mediums and painting every style and subject imaginable so this year the exhibition promises to have something for everyone.

There will be prizes awarded to selected paintings by local business sponsors, including the Battle Observer

All work on display will be offered for sale and this year an original painting by Mark Fisher will be the prize in a special raffle supporting St Michaels Hospice and the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.

Admission to the exhibition is free.

BDAG meet at 2.30pm every third Saturday each month at the Battle Memorial Hall for popular and informative demonstrations and talks.
