Sussex roadworks to be finished or lifted for Easter

People travelling around Sussex over the Easter break will find it far easier thanks to several miles of roadworks being lifted.

Across the UK more than 550 miles of Highways Agency roadworks will be lifted over Easter to help bank holiday journeys go smoothly. In the south east alone around 180 miles of roadworks will either be lifted over, or completed by Easter

The Highways Agency – which from April 1 will become Highways England - aims to complete or lift 209 sets of roadworks by April 2 – leaving almost 97 per cent of its 9,534-mile network free of roadworks in time for the holidays.
