Teachers from most Crawley schools to go on strike

Teachers in nearly every school in Crawley will take part in national strike action tomorrow (October 17).

Members of the NUT (National Union of Teachers) will strike tomorrow to demonstrate concerns over their pay, pensions and conditions.

Below is a list of the schools taking part in the strike action:

Broadfield East

Gossops Green Community Primary

Hazelwick

Hilltop Primary - partially closed

Holy Trinity C of E

Ifield Community College

Langley Green Primary - partially closed

Maidenbower Junior School - partially closed

Northgate Primary

Milton Mount Primary - Owlets, Acorn, Berry, Catkin, Fern, Bracken, Beech, Hazel and Hornbeam classes closed

Oriel High School - Years 8, 9 and 10 closed. Sixth Form students are able to use facilities if they wish.

Oaks Primary

Our Lady Queen of Heaven RC School - partially closed

Pound Hill Infant - partially closed

Seymour Primary - partially closed

Southgate Primary

St Andrew’s Primary School - one classroom closed

The Mill Primary School

The Oaks - Squirrels, Pine and Cedar classes closed

Thomas Bennett Community College

Three Bridges Primary School - Mulberry, Cherry, Chestnut, Holly and Pine classes on the lower site and Maple, Beech, Oak, Sycamore, Cedar and Larch classes on the upper site closed. Waterfield Primary School - Year 3 and 5 will be closed.

West Green Primary

In Horley:

Oakwood School will be closed to students in Years 7-10.

Horley Infants School will be closed.
