Teenage girls arrested after car window smashed in Crawley


Two teenage girls were arrested after a car window was smashed in Broadfield.

Police were called to Fennel Crescent at 10.10pm on Wednesday (May 14) following reports a 39-year-old woman was being threatened and that a car window had been smashed.

A police spokesman said: “A 15-year-old girl from Brighton was arrested and questioned before being charged with assaulting a police officer.

“She was released on bail to appear at Crawley Youth Court on May 27.

“A 13-year-old girl from Crawley was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

“She was questioned before being released on bail until June 19.”
