A264 near Horsham ‘closed for some time’ due to serious crash which sparked large emergency response
A serious two vehicle crash has closed the A264 near Horsham and it is expected to be shut for some time.

Sergeant Richard Hobbs of the Sussex Roads Policing Unit said: “[The] A264 south of Five Oaks near Slinfold is closed and will be for some time due to a serious collision.”
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed Joint Fire Control received reports of the collision on the A264 Five Oaks Road at 8.26am this morning.

Hide AdHe said: “Firefighters from Billingshurst and Horsham were mobilised to the scene along with the heavy rescue tender from Crawley.
“Officers from Sussex Police and paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service are also in attendance.
“Crews remain at the scene at this time.”
The ambulance service has been approached for comment.
