Accident at Slinfold and continued flooding cause problems in Horsham district

While a number of the major problems have been cleared following heavy rain last night and today, there are still hold-ups for commuters tonight (Friday January 17).

The A29 Stane Street in Five Oaks is partially blocked in both directions between the A264 Horsham Road junction and the Hayes Lane junction, because of an accident.

Flooding remains on a number of roads:

The road is just passable on the A24 Dorking Road in Kingsfold before the Marches Road junction.

The A24 in Broadbridge Heath at the Broadbridge Heath roundabout.

There is queueing traffic on the A272 New Bridge in both directions in Billingshurst between the B2133 Newpound junction and the Rowner Road junction, because of flooding.

The B2116 Albourne Road in Henfield is blocked in both directions between the A281 Crouch Hill junction and the A281 junction.

And there is further flooding in Kerves Lane in Horsham between the Hard’s Hill junction and the Kentwyns Drive junction.
