Fire crew put out van fire in Turners Hill

Firefighters have put out a van fire.

The crew from Turners Hill was called to the scene in Paddockhurst Road at 11.15pm on Sunday (August 23).

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters extinguished the fire in the small commercial van with breathing apparatus and two hose reels.

A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots.

The fire started accidentally.

The crew was called down at 12.07am.
