Firefighters rescue horse from ditch

Firefighters rescued a horse called Boomer from a ditch.

Surrey fire crews were called to Five Oaks in Charlwood yesterday (Monday March 7).

A spokesman said firefighters were delighted that Boomer was expected to make a full recovery after they were called at 12.45pm and spent an hour-and-a-half rescuing the stallion.

Fire crews from Horley, Esher and a specialist vehicle crew from Scaines Hill attended.
