Major Crawley town centre road shut, with traffic backing up

Southgate Avenue is closed to traffic, according to the AA.

And vehicles are queuing in the area as a result causing delays for road users.

Reports on social media suggest the closure is due to a crash though this is yet to be confirmed.

Sussex Police and the fire service have been approached for comment.
