Motorbike crashes into bushes near Rusper

It happened on a bend near the road’s junction with Hillybarn Road when the motorcyclist, a 53-year-old Crawley man, apparently sought to avoid an oncoming silver car, say police.

His white Yamaha FZR slid into bushes and he was taken to hospital where he received treatment for rib and shoulder injuries but was not detained.

PC Jim Annand, of the Arundel road policing unit, said: “We’d like to speak to anyone who saw what happened, the driver of the unknown silver car or anyone who saw either vehicle being driven shortly before the collision occurred.”
