PICTURES: Van destroyed by fire in Horsham

A van was completely gutted by a fire yesterday evening in Horsham.

The commercial transit van was ‘100 per cent damaged by fire’, while an adjacent car was also damaged by radiated heat, a spokeswoman for the fire service said.

It happened in Crawley Road, Horsham, at just before 5.30pm on Friday, September 23.

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service used two breathing apparatus and two high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire shortly after 6pm.

The fire has been confirmed as accidental ignition, and there were no reports of any injuries.
