Southern Rail said the incident blocked the railway line and delays of up to 30 minutes have been reported between Havant and Horsham.

The incident follows another issue on the line this morning.

Commuters experienced major delays after trains between Havant and Horsham were held up for more than 45 minutes due a signalling problem at Ford.

Engineers have now resolved the issue.
