Sussex evening traffic bulletin for Tuesday, October 6

Here is your Sussex travel update for this evening (Tuesday, October 6).

There are a number of reports of congestion on the roads across the county this evening.

According to the AA, there is slow traffic on the A269 in Dorset Road both ways between York Road and De La Warr Road in Bexhill where construction work is taking place. Temporary traffic lights are in operation.

There is also heavy traffic on the A27 Polegate Bypass both ways from A22 Polegate Road (Cophall Roundabout) to Brown Jack Avenue due to long-term roadworks in operation.

In the west of the county there are also reports of slow traffic on the A27 Warren Road westbound between Busticle Lane (Hilllbarn Traffic Lights) and A24 Findon Road (Offington Corner) outside Worthing.

Near Billingshurst there is congestion on the A29 in Stane Street around New Road due to construction works.
