Sussex morning travel update for Tuesday, September 8

Here's the latest traffic news across Sussex this morning (Tuesday, September 8).

In Crawley, A2220 Horsham Road is partially blocked eastbound due to a large tree branch on the road. Very slow traffic has been reported from Pelham Drive (Breezehurst Roundabout) to Broadfield Drive (Broadfield Roundabout).

Elsewhere in West Sussex, Horsham Fire confirmed last night that Hurst Road had been reopened after a car reportedly collided with a gas main.

This morning, slow traffic has been reported on A27 Eastbound, near A24 Findon Road (Offington Corner).

A lane closed due to construction on A27 Upper Brighton Road at A24 Broadwater Street West (Grove Lodge Roundabout).

A road is closed near Burgess Hill due to construction works. B2036 London Road is closed northbound from Dunstall Avenue to A273 Sussex Way.

Construction works have also closed B2184 London Lane northbound from Broad Street to B2036 London Road, near Cuckfied.

In East Sussex, there is queuing traffic on A27 eastbound from Folkington through to the Cophall roundabout at Polegate due to long-term roadworks with lane closures.

Outside Laughton, Church Lane is closed due to water main work both ways from B2124 to Mill Lane.

Moor Lane, near Westfield, is also closed due to construction works both ways between Eighteen Pounder Lane and Ivyhouse Lane.
