Sussex travel: the latest incidents, roadworks and restrictions

Here are the latest updates on the roads across Sussex this afternoon (Monday, June 1).

In Shoreham, the A283 Steyning Road has been partially blocked northbound due to a stalled vehicle.

Traffic reports say the incident, close to the A27 Shoreham bypass is causing ‘very slow traffic’.

The road is partly blocked heading off the roundabout to the A283 northbound.

In Eastbourne there is currently water main work ongoing on Sidley Road at the Channel View Road junction.

And on the A259 there are temporary traffic signals due to construction on Pevensey Bay Road at Tanbridge Road.

In Hastings there are stop/go boards and gas main work on A2101 St Helen’s Road between St Helen’s Park Road and Elphinstone Road.

Over in Brighton there are narrow lanes due to construction on A259 Kings Road around A2010 West Street. Outside the Odeon.

In Worthing there are temporary traffic signals due to gas main work on A259 Chapel Road at Chapel Road.

In Chichester there are temporary traffic signals due to water main work on Carlisle Gardens at Norwich Road.

At Pease Pottage there are temporary traffic signals due to water main work on Barn Close at Horsham Road.
