Woman cut from car after accident on A281 near Cowfold

A driver had to be cut free from her car and the A281 is closed near Cowfold after an accident this afternoon (Friday July 11) according to police.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said the woman had to be cut free by firefighters after her car left the road on the A281 north of Cowfold at 12.10pm and went up on a bank where it rolled over.

No other person or vehicle was involved.

The A281 between Cowfold and Lower Beeding is temporarily closed while emergency services deal with the incident.

A spokesperson for Sussex Air Ambulance said the woman had suffered abdomen injuries and was taken by road to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
