TRAVEL ALERT: Mile long delays at Buck Barn and disruption near A27

Roadworks at a major junction on the A24 are causing delays of up to a mile this morning (Tuesday March 8).

Major disruption is being reported northbound on the A24 Worthing Road near the Buck Barn traffic lights.

BBC Travel has said road users were experiencing ‘just under a mile’ of tailbacks earlier this morning.

Heavy congestion is still being reported in the area with traffic moving very slowly due to works being carried out to improve the lights.

A broken down vehicle has blocked the Ford Road, in Arundel, southbound near the Ford Road roundabout.

The problem has led to long delays for road users trying to use the roundabout to get onto the A27.
