TV slot for turf cutter
The students on the Land-based Technology course at Plumpton College were commissioned by Tracmaster to make and supply more than 200 parts for its CAMON turf cutter. The arrangement was a boost for a business initiative set up by the young engineers and for Tracmaster, a UK leading groundcare and machinery specialist.
Tracmaster designs and manufactures its CAMON range at its headquarters in Burgess Hill, and needed to outsource some fabrication to meet its orders. Plumpton College suggested a partnership and its students produced components for the turf cutter including anti-vibration handlebars, bumpers and chipper chasis.
