Two in custody as police investigate Worthing robbery

DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses to a man being robbed near the junction of Teville Road and Victoria Road, in Worthing.

It happened just before 3pm on July 16 when the 34-year-old victim was approached by two people who threatened him and stole some medication from him.

“A 39-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of robbery have been bailed to August 20 and August 17 respectively while enquiries continue,” said a spokesman.

Anyone who saw what happened or who may have other information was asked to email [email protected] or phone 101, quoting serial 979 of July 16.

Alternatively they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers without having to leave their name on 0800 555 111.
