Two men rescued after crash in Lagness

Two men had to be rescued after a road traffic accident in Lagness this morning (Wednesday, October 29).

The males were in two cars which collided near the Royal Oak pub on Pagham Road.

One of the men had to be rescued by firefighters using specialist cutting equipment. The other was removed manually by firefighters from the wreckage.

Both men were taken by ambulance to St Richard's Hospital.

The accident was the third in the area in five days. It occurred at 7.55am.

It was just over 45 minutes before the 15 firefighters at the scene considered the area to be safe.

Two fire crews attended from Bognor Regis fire station and a third from Chichester.
