Udimore

PARISH COUNCIL MEETING: For an account of our Council’s recent meeting, please turn to Udimore Village Voice next week.

CHURCH SERVICE: The one service in St Mary’s this Sunday is Holy Communion at 8am. An excellent way to start the week (if I may say so) and much less of a strain on the system now that the mornings are getting lighter quicker than at any other time of the year. Let’s hope they’ll soon be warmer too!

YOGA CLASSES: Lolly Patenall’s new class meets again in the Hall from 9.30 to 10.45am on Monday. She tells me its first session went well last Monday, and sessions will now continue at the same time every week. She’d be glad to welcome new members, whether you’ve had previous experience, or are interested in trying out this very stimulating and satisfying form of exercise for the first time.

I understand that Laura Lesley, who used to run Yoga classes on Wednesday evenings, has now started to run them on Friday evenings instead, but I don’t yet have more details.

FLAMENCO DANCING CLASSES: This new class is due to begin in the Hall, from noon till 1pm on Tuesday, and to continue weekly at this time. For more details, please ring Helena (07963 959262).

UDIMORE GARDEN SAFARI: When making your plans for the last weekend in May, please consider keeping the Saturday afternoon (May 30) free, for an important new event in the Udimore summer calendar. Owners of some of the most interesting and beautiful gardens in the village have kindly agreed to open them to visitors throughout that afternoon, the tour to conclude with tea and cakes in the Hall. More details to follow nearer the time, but meanwhile please note the date in your diaries.
