Under threat hospitals bounce back

TWO West Sussex hospitals which were under threat in the Fit for the Future proposals have been named as among the Top 40 Hospitals in the country in a recent awards ceremony in London.

St Richards Hospital, Chichester, and Worthing and Southlands Hospital, Shoreham are now both managed by the merged Western Hospitals NHS Trust, which won the award for the hospitals' performance.

This is the ninth consecutive year that St Richard's Hospital has achieved this award and the second year in a row for Worthing and Southlands Hospitals.
