Update: Crawley man airlifted to hospital with stab wound


Police have confirmed a man who was airlifted to hospital from Crawley had suffered a stab wound to his stomach.

Emergency services were called to Scallows Close, Three Bridges, just after 5pm yesterday (Tuesday July 15).

The Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance was also called and landed in the playing field of nearby Three Bridges Primary School, in Gales Drive.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said the 30-year-old man had “harmed himself”.

He was flown to St George’s Hospital, London.

The spokesman added: “His injury is not beleived to be life threatening.”
