UPDATE: Man taken to hospital after flat fire
An 81-year-old man was taken to hospital after a fire in a flat.
Two fire engines attended a fire at a ground floor flat in Hogarth Road, Tilgate, at about 4.40pm yesterday (Thursday December 12).
A SECAmb (South East Coast Ambulance) spokesperson said a man was taken by ambulance to East Surrey Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
