Update: Man who escaped from care in Crawley found

A man who escaped from care in Crawley has been found safe and well.

Richard McNaught, 50, escaped from his carer after being taken for a day out at Tilgate Park on Wednesday, June 8, Sussex Police said.

Police were contacted shortly after he went missing at about 2pm.

The NPAS police helicopter assisted in a search of the area.

A police spokesman said officers were concerned for McNaught as he was not familiar with the area and had only a small amount of change in his possession.

He was found safe and well in the early hours o ftoday (Thursday June 9).

Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach him, but to contact police on [email protected] or call 101, quoting serial 982 of 08/06.
