Southern Rail has said work to repair the rail was completed overnight.
Southern’s website states: “Problems with the conductor rail between Wandsworth Common and Clapham Junction caused damage to some trains travelling through this area yesterday (April 30).
“Work to repair the rail was completed overnight and trains are now running as normal between London Victoria / Watford Junction and Balham.
“Passengers with tickets for yesterday, Thursday 30 April who chose not to travel will be able to use their ticket today.”
