UPDATE: Teens arrested after ride-on lawn mower stolen in Crawley

Police said the red Honda HF2620 mower was recovered by officers after they were alerted to youths riding around on it at the Cherry Lane playing field in Langley Green yesterday.

A boy and a girl, both aged 17, were arrested on suspicion of theft.

They have been bailed until April 27 while enquiries continue.

Police said the mower was believed to have been stolen recently.

The owner has now been found but officers are still instigating the incident.

Anyone who saw it being ridden in the area and who has not already spoken to police is asked to contact 101.

Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 (www.crimestoppers-uk.org).
