Veterans meeting

The get-together begins at 1pm for the group which is aimed at any serving or former personnel from the armed forces according to organiser Chris Gadsden.

He said: "The Association is to bring veterans together in the local area and from further afield. It is any cap badge - Army, Navy or Air Force, as long as they have served, they can become a member.

"We are not just fighting for ourselves, we are fighting for disabled soldiers, and of course we are going to join in the fight for the rights of the Gurkhas."
