VIDEO: Behind the scenes at blaze damaged Eastbourne Pier
The fire damaged Eastbourne Pier reopens for business this weekend (Saturday).
Visitors will be able to go on to the iconic seafront structure from midday and special walkways have been installed for people to access the part of the pier which wasn’t damaged in the blaze on July 30.
That includes the shops, cafe, fishing platform and nightclub.
Herald chief reporter Annemarie Field was invited on to the pier ahead of Saturday’s grand re-opening.
