Firefighters are investigating the cause of a blaze which destroyed two homes.
Six fire crews were called to the roof fire in Chevelin Close, Broadfield, at around 4am today (Tuesday December 30).
Firefighters used hose reels and an aerial ladder to contain the fire to the semi-detached properties.
The occupants were out when the fire started in their house.
Steve Clack, the incident commander, said investigations into the blaze’s cause were being carried out.
